Literature - Short Story 1

The little red fish

Once upon a time there was a lonely little red fish. He was the loneliest creature in the entire ocean and had nobody to talk with. Hence one day this lonesome fish set out a journey in quest of someone to talk with; he abandoned his hometown which was his only love. He swam away and went on and on, till he stumbled upon some sleepy seaweeds who were dancing tenderly in the abyss of the ocean. He went to them and said hello in the happiest way he could, but they were so languid that they didn’t even see him and just continued their gentle dance. They danced ceaselessly and didn’t pay the slightest attention to this poor fish. And then it was tears in his face and he left those indifferent seaweeds. He swam away as he could and kept on his way till he came across a school of angelfish. They were all together and were talking to each other. Finding that shoal of cheerful fish who were talking together made the fish so happy; he went to them and said hello to them in the happiest way he could, but they were all showing off their beauty to each other that they didn’t even paid the slightest attention to him and then it was just tears coming down of his cheeks. He abandoned these carefree fish too and resumed his journey. He swam on and on till he found a shoal of starfish. He went to them and said hello to them, but this time with the slight hope of answer not as his usual manner, but the starfishes hadn’t any tongue to answer him and so they continued their way without paying attention to him. This time the wretched fish forgot to cry as his heart broke and the sadness accommodated in his little happy heart. He swam away disappointedly. He swam and swam and swam, till he ran into a kind-hearted chap, Mr. Hook. He went to him and said hello with the slightest hope of any answer, but suddenly the sympathetic Hook said hello to him. And so, the kind Hook brought happiness to our little red fish once again and the fish laughed once more. He talked with the kind Hook and then he cried of joy. The kind-hearted Mr. Hook hugged him and the tiny red fish felt the warmth through his entire body. He was the happiest fish in the entire ocean in those seconds, but suddenly he felt a killing pain in his little body. He looked around and saw the cute, sympathetic Mr. Hook in him. He begged the kind-hearted Hook to stop the pain, but the Hook didn’t do anything and just kept on his torture.  Suddenly the pain grew worse and this time the little fish felt that the Hook is pulling him. He just looked at the Hook, but did nothing else. He did nothing else and just went with his only friend toward the most painful death of a fish without saying even a word. He died, but maybe, in those painful seconds, in his thought he was happy that he felt love, even the phony one just for some seconds, and maybe he thought those few moments of love were better than his entire life. Maybe
